Guitar, Vocals
About me - I have always loved singing. I started to write poetry when I was about 10 years old. When I started secondary school I started to learn the guitar. Once I had a few chords learnt I started to turn my poetry into songs. When I was about 15 I started to play at an open mic cafe in Belfast City Centre and also at a local folk club. When I was 18 I moved to Manchester for University and landed a part time job in an epic pub called the Thirsty Scholar (reminds me of Belfast's Katy Daly's). There was live music 4 nights a week in this bar. I started to play at their open mic nights and soon got to know lots of musicians and promoters around Manchester and was gigging across the city. When I came back to Belfast I was regularly playing at the John Hewitt and landed a few gigs in the Spaniard. I was also delighted to be asked to be a support act for Quire for their'One Night Stand' performance in the Black Box as part of Outburst Arts festival in 2007. In 2010 I entered the Citybeat Young Star Competition and got into the final 10 for my category. For the last few years I have been back at University studying like a mad woman - so while I still kept up the singing and songwriting and played at private events for friends and family my gigging took a back seat. BUT I am back exploring the Belfast music scene now and I am ready to give music 100% - Watch this space peeps.....
